Town/Suburb:
 Stanley
Specific Track Location:
The trail starts 100m south of the fire spotting tower at the summit of Mt. Stanley. Drop off at the car parking area. Ride down the road, about 30m from the car park, turn left and you'll see a tabletop jump, thats the start.
Track Description:
About 70% singletrack, there are some short sections that require a few pedal strokes. A trio of flowing berms just before..... The rock garden ....... depending on your skill levels it will be great fun and challenging, or scary. It's not very long so walk it if necessary. There are 2 log jumps, about 3 ft high with no back on them , so no option to roll them. A small road gap where you land in a berm ! A series of switchbacks then onto the fire trail. It can have loose rocks and sticks, but usually has a clean line down it and some small water bars. 80 km/h is possible on the lower section of fire trail. As you come to an uphill section of fire trail, turn right back onto singletrack. The lower section of singletrack is not too technical and flows nicely. It crosses the fire trail 2 more times. First time is straight across, 2nd time you ride down the road about 50m then veer left onto the last bit of singletrack.
Other Information:

The trail is recognised by Parks Victoria and is maintained by the local club, the Beechworth Chaingang.

A run and shuttle back to the top takes roughly 1 hour. There is a short cut for shuttles up the jeep track (see track map) but it's strictly 4WD and is only 5 minutes quicker. The regular shuttle road is 2WD but can get slippery in wet weather. The area is a little isolated , mobile phone coverage varies depending where you are on the hill. More information including a location map at www.beechworthchaingang.com in the trails section.
